World TB Day raises awareness about the global epidemic of tuberculosis (TB) and efforts to eliminate the disease. According to WHO 'One-third of the world's population is currently infected with TB.
The annual event on 24 March commemorates the day in 1882 when Dr Robert Koch astounded the scientific community by announcing that he had discovered the cause of tuberculosis, the TB bacillus. This was a first step towards diagnosing and curing tuberculosis.






Today March 24th marked another day for a Global movement to raise awareness on TUBERCULOSIS and its epidemiology around the globe. WOYODEV Initiatives alongside other stakeholders in Nigeria held  a rally to commemorate the day. The rally took place in and around the city of Ilorin, market places and motor parks were visited. Earlier an advocacy visit was paid to the ministry of Health, the Permanent Secretary addressed us and pledged Government support and willingness to eradicate TB in our communities.
